With a background in public and private school education and school administration, Allison Enslein founded Minds Matter Reading Instruction with more than 20 years of experience teaching children with dyslexia how to read and write.

 

Allison recently retired from AIM Academy in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania where she was Head of the Lower School from 2014-2018.  Prior to her tenure at AIM, Allison was Head of School at Center School in Abington, Pennsylvania. AIM Academy and Center School are both independent schools that specialize in teaching children with language based learning disabilities. 

 

Prior to moving to the east coast in 2010, Allison was founding director of the Children's Dyslexia Center in Danville, Illinois. She started her career as a classroom teacher teaching in grades five through eight and was a Title 1 Reading teacher for the Vigo County School District in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Allison has her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and her Master's Degree in Special Education/Learning Disabilities. She is trained and certified as an Orton-Gillingham Structured Literacy Interventionist and as a Wilson Reading System instructor.
